Dimitris Psychogyios has been dancing for the last 22 years and has performed and taught to some of the most prestigious festivals & events all over the world such as: Milan, New York, Miami, Berlin, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Monaco, Rome, Toronto, Paris, Moscow, Dusseldorf, Warsaw, Houston, Puebla (Mexico), Medellin (Colombia), Hamburg, Bratislava, Dublin, India, Sofia, St.Gallen, Bucharest, Istanbul, Prague, London, Jeju (Korea) Belgrade, Antwerp, Nancy, Napoli, Almaty (Kazakhstan), Vienna, Dubai, Vilnius (Lithuania), Beirut, Bergen (Norway), Liege, Setúbal (Portugal), Bremen, Cyprus, London, Athens, Sicily, Jaen (Spain), Luxembourg, Bologna, Antalya, Eilat (Israel),Budapest, Balaton (Hungary), Odessa (Ukraine), Krasnoyarsk (Siberia), Izmir, Bodrum, Eskisehir, Damascus (Syria) and more. He has also took part in competitions with great success. Some of the highlights in his career are: * 3rd place @ World Latin Dance Cup (2013) * Finalist @ Euroson Latino World Salsa Championship (2018) * Finalist @ World Latin Dance Cup (2012) * 1st place Champions @ World Salsa Meeting (2014) * 7 times Greek Salsa Champions (2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018x2) * 3 times Balkan Salsa Champions (2012, 2013, 2014) * Bulgarian Salsa Champions (2011) * Romanian Salsa Champions (2013) * Danubian Group Salsa Champions (2015) * Danubian Salsa Champions (2016) He has been performing with Yolena at his group “Dimitris y su Secta” since 2018 and later on as a couple. He collaborated from 2023 till 2025 dancing with Bersy Cortez at her group “African Mambo”. On July 2023 he did his first “Intensive Teachers Training”. An intensive training for salsa instructors, spreading his unique teaching method with great success. On July 2024 co-organised “Salsa made in Greece” intensive salsa training promoting the Greek salsa community! Furthermore he is certified instructor of “SalsaNama” by Fernando Sosa. He is the creator of CAM™ | Couple Alignment Method. A structured partner dance system built on the Couple Core, aligning body, timing and intention so two dancers move as one. He is well known for his strong fundamentals and unique technique in partnerwork, inventive shows and his teaching methods. For the last 18 years, he runs La Secta Dance Company, the pioneers of NY style Salsa in Athens, Greece.
